Before Parallel, maintaining work-life balance was a struggle. Now, I have time for both my students and loved ones. If you're hesitant, consider the advantages of virtual work: no commute, reduced stress, and the ability to assist more communities. Never before did I imagine working online could be so beneficial, and I'm glad it's now an option for us!

Before working at Parallel Learning, I worked at a home health agency an hour away from my home. I had to commute everyday to see patients in various settings. While I LOVED my patients dearly, the company I worked for could accommodate my motherhood needs for my me and my newborn baby. I joined Parallel because it allowed me to do both things I loved - being a mom and providing speech therapy to children! Now, I get to bond with my daughters, and provide therapy to students around the US that didn't have a speech therapist.
Even more, I still get pursue my passion for Augmentative Alternative Communication and find a voice for children who have exhausted other modes of communication. At one of the schools, I am working with a middle school student with Down Syndrome who was dismissed from speech 6 years ago due to lack of progress. The staff was able to come to me and request an AAC evaluation because they could not understand her. I was shocked at the students low speech intellibility. As a trained listener of speech errors, I could only understand 20 to 30% of what she was saying. I'm grateful for Parallel because it allowed me to access this child who otherwise would've gone the rest of her school career being misunderstood and being denied FAPE.
Working with Parallel has been a breeze especially with their exceptional and modern technology and platform. They really LISTEN to providers and what we NEED in order to provide services that are engaging, interactive and organized. What I like most about Parallel is the communication between providers, support and administration! I would recommend this company to any SLP!

I enjoyed the interview process with Parallel Learning because I met people that were welcoming and willing to help me learn how to be a clinician in a different setting than I was used to. Throughout the time becoming more familiarized with the organization, I found that everyone I met was invested in welcoming me as a new team member and remained open for any additional help! Also, I have enjoyed meeting different members of the staff through other opportunities available. As a clinician, I really like the way the platform is built and is so well constructed with lots of resources available for reference. Through my experience thus far, I continue to feel more confident in using the platform effectively and the more success I've had in my learning overall, the more I felt motivated and excited about this decision for my career path. The learning process overall with Parallel has been a rewarding experience and I feel that in my position here I can better my clinical skills and serve students the best way I can as a professional.
